Today is May 15, 2012, the birth date of a noble person who opened my eyes more than ever before, Hakeem Omar Khayyam, and as a tribute I wanted to release the song on the birth date of this Persian legend. I believe that from time to time we all have to pay our tributes to the treasures we own, our heritage.
As usual, the song is a combination of electronic, pop music and Persian traditional music influences written in C#major. The lyrics of the song, written by the legendary Hakeem Omar Khayyam, mostly refer to the hypothesis of reincarnation mixed with some of Khayyamâs factual beliefs in enjoying your given life the best way possible and not thinking of the past (which is gone) nor the yet-to-come unpredictable future. Live in the moment with all you have and enjoy the given gifts as much as possible and have in mind that you are going to become a part of this world when your soul flies out of your shell until you get to the point of perfection. I had to change the name of the song from âReincarnationâ to its Persian translation âTanasokhâ as the English name was too long to be remembered.
And last but not least, I would love to dedicate this last release to two of my dearest friends (of course, they have always been more than friends to me) and by this dedication i would like to show them my love and respect and my gratitude for all the things they have taught me through the years. First my dear friend (who is more like a brother to me) Shahram, who taught me the facts about Khayyamâs beliefs and was the person who actually made me aware of Khayyamâs poetry in the first place; and next, another dear friend closer to me than my heart, Lucy, who was the main reason I finished the song. In my heart is where I will always keep these lovely existences. Shahram joon & Lucy joon, love you both to death and hope my dedication finds you well.
